Our story, our mission, and our commitment to opera education.
Bach-Millennium Music empowers singers, conductors, and vocal coaches in their pursuits of artistry in the field of opera. We provide transformative educational experiences that bridge the gap between academic training and professional performance.
We envision a world where emerging opera artists have access to the highest quality training and performance opportunities, regardless of their background. Through our programs, we aim to cultivate the next generation of opera professionals who will carry forward the art form with excellence and innovation.
Bach-Millennium Music was founded with a simple yet ambitious goal: to give young opera artists the experience of performing with professional orchestras that is so crucial to their development.
Recognizing that many emerging singers, conductors, and coaches lack opportunities to work in professional operatic settings, our founders created a summer program that mirrors the demands and rewards of a professional opera company.
Over the years, we have grown from a small workshop into a recognized training program that has helped launch the careers of singers now performing on stages worldwide, conductors leading orchestras and opera companies, and coaches working at major institutions.
Our unique approach to opera training sets participants up for professional success.
Unlike programs that use piano accompaniment, our participants work daily with a full professional orchestra, developing the skills needed for major opera houses.
We produce fully staged operas with professional direction, lighting, and costumes, giving participants complete theatrical experience.
Singers, conductors, and coaches learn together, mirroring the collaborative nature of professional opera production.
